Houston-area residents, businesses, schools, roads, neighborhoods will likely need to prepare for a second-straight day of heavy flooding, according to weather reports.
Awareness, prevention and preparedness will always improve your chance of survival.

However, flash floods can strike at any time of day or night, and with little warning. They can also put you, as well as your children, your pets and your home or vehicles in danger, too.
Some elderly people, as well those with physical or mental disabilities may also need help in escaping rising water.
